Clinical evidence shows that Caffeine causes people to stay awake more than it interrupts sleep. Drinking of caffeine rich drinks may result in periods of wakefulness interrupting your sleep at night.

People believe it is only coffee that is rich in caffeine. However, the US FDA has included these items in their list of caffeine rich foods –

People have varied levels of caffeine tolerance. Some people may experience insomnia by drinking just one cup of coffee while some may not experience the same symptoms until they consumed over 5 cups. Children may also suffer from insomnia due to caffeine consumption. A single chocolate bar may contain somewhere around 20-45mg of caffeine.

Too much caffeine consumption may cause symptoms like –

One way to prevent Caffeine Induced Insomnia is to look before you eat and avoid foods rich in caffeine. If you are addicted to caffeine rich beverages, it is better to reduce your intake of such beverages.
