Food That Should Be Avoided Before You Go To Bed

If you are unable to sleep in the night, try and check out the food that you are eating before going to bed. Food that should be completely avoided before going to bed and which prevent you from sleeping and their reasons for doing so are as follows

High blood sugar levels disrupt sleep by causing energy levels to burst up. Therefore food high in glucose and sugar level should be completely avoided. E.g. chocolates, sweets, juices etc.

Spicy food cause lot of indigestion and heart burn causing you to be restless and nauseous in the night thus avoiding you to sleep. Some e.g. of such type of food are peanuts, garlic flavored foods, peanuts etc.

Fatty Foods
inhibit the synthesis of serotonin an enzyme that prepares the body to sleep, making the body more alert. For e.g. meat and high protein food.

Monosodium glutamate (MSG),
is another element often found in Chinese food. This causes a stimulant reaction that causes some people to be awake in the night.

Avoid cigarettes and tobacco: They contain nicotine, which is a neurostimulant that cause sleep problems. Ironically smoking is said to have a calming effect.

Alcohol and caffeine also greatly inhibit sleep and should be avoided at any cost.

Avoid these foods and enjoy a peaceful nights sleep.
