Sleeping pills overdose can be fatal. Swallowing one sleeping pill can put you to at least 6 hours of undisturbed sleep. If you are habituated to engulf at least one pill each day, then you are prone to long-term side effects.

Most of the sleeping pills we swallow are not at all safe to use. Physicians prescribe them under certain medical circumstances. These should never be consumed without ant medical supervision.

Swallowing 2 or more pills of minimum dose can be enough to put your life into an end. Sometimes, overdose can have serious long-term effects on the nervous system and functionality of the brain of the person.

Sleeping pills can be addictive so require utmost care while using. The value of these pills are less on the sleeping abilities than they have on our brains.

  • difficulty in breathing
  • vomiting
  • fainting or losing consciousness
  • slurred speech
  • sudden shock

Such kind of overdose situation require immediate attention. Your stomach will be pumped as an attempt to remove the traces of the drugs from your stomach. Several other medications or natural extracts may be given to neutralize the effect of the drug. In extreme conditions of kidney failure may occur, demanding a dialysis.
